30 October 2018 - UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation H.E Ms. Reem Al-Hashimi and UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Mr. Salim Khalifa Al-Ghafli have visited today Aden Container Terminal, where they have been welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Mohammed Alawi Emzrabeh and the member of the Board of Directors of Aden Ports Development Company Mr. Abdulrub Kholaqi, accompanied with Deputy General Manager of Aden Container Terminal Mr. Fadhel al-Hajili and a number of head of departments in the container terminal.

Mr. Mohammed Alawi has lead the visited delegation in to a site visit to the terminal yards, and has briefed H.E Ms Reem Al Hashmi and the accompanied delegation on the terminal activities and facilities and the challenges the terminal is facing since the War of summer 2015 and the war consequences, However the role that the terminal has played as a lifeline for the people of Yemen.

Mr. Emzarbah has pointed out that the port of Aden is safe and carries out its activities normally, denying the rumors claiming the opposite.

Mr. Emzarbah praised the support of the political leadership represented by Mr. President Marshal Abderbo Mansour Hadi and the legitimate government which has helped the Port of Aden in to performing its services for more than three years without interruption, In spite of the complicated situation. Mr. Emzarbah said that the Arab coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates have provided the protection to the port immediately after the war, which encouraged the resumption of the business activities, praising the level of continuous coordination between Arab force coalition in Aden and the port management to ensure the continuation of the workflow as well as securing the shipping services and the trade in the port of Aden.
