Delegation from the UAE Red Crescent accompanied by a team of Arab and International media in a visit to Aden Container Terminal ,,,

 

10 August 2018 - A delegation from the UAE Red Crescent accompanied with a team of journalist from the Arab and International media have visited Aden Container Terminal the largest container terminal in the Republic of Yemen and the Yemen's gateway to receive local market needs from the imports containers of the various commercial goods and relief shipments.

 


Mr. Fadhle Ahmed Al-Hujaili, Deputy General Manager of the Container Terminal, was pleased to host the visiting delegation accompanied by a number of terminal department heads.

 

Mr. Fadhle Al-Hujaili has welcomed the visiting delegation and through a site visit around the container terminal, Mr. AL-Hujaili has briefed the visitors on the terminal facilities and services as well as the projects that have been implemented in the recent period, in addition to the future plans for the next few months, which will increase the operational efficiency of the terminal operations and will enhance the continues performance improvement.

 

In a reply to the journalist’s inquiries Mr. Fadhle has pointed out that the terminal has the capability to absorb more of the imported containers volume where around 40% of terminal capacity remains vacant and ready to receive more containerized shipments. Mr. Fadhle has revealed that current volume of imported and exported containers handled during the first half of this year 2018 have crossed 200,000 containers, with increase of 20% compared to the same period of the last year 2017.
