APDC Expands Fleet with Acquisition of New Terminal Tractors

30 October 2017 - In line with the modernization and development plans for Aden Container Terminal Equipment, Aden Ports Development Company has received twelve Kalmar tractors (TT) with modern and international specifications capable for carrying two containers with a total loading capacity of up to 85 tons. In a press statement the Chairman of Aden Ports Development Company Mr. Mohamed Alawi Emzarbah said: "We have managed with the cooperation of our employees to convert our words to deeds through the arrival of the second batch of terminal handling equipment which were preceded by two new Reach Stackers with a maximum loading capacity of up to 50 tons. Mr. Emzarbah said that there are still many equipment on its way to arrive and join terminal fleet of equipment including new Generators and new Gantry crane with modern specifications, which will increase the terminal cranes fleet to 8 gantry cranes Mr. Emzarbah emphases that the Port policy and strategic is to work hard with silence and let the achievements talk about our performance).

Mr. Emzarbah was at the forefront of the receivers of the new equipment accompany with Mr. Fadhle Ahmed, APDC Deputy General Manager during the TT offloading from MV MSC CLEMENTINA in presence of Port Officers and Terminal Managers.
The arrival of the twelve tractors will expand the tractors fleet to 30 TT ready and capable to serve and carry all types and sizes of containers.
