19 June 2017 - His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Yemen accompanied with the Minister of Education, the Higher Education Minister, the Minister of Justice, the Cabinet Secretary General and Aden Governor have visited Aden Container Terminal to get updated on the terminal developments and operational progress, this visit coincide with the arrival of the purchased 75 megawatts and arrived on board of the (SPECTRUM and JERNAS) on 18/06/2017 and 19/06/2017, respectively.

His Excellency Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Dr. Mohamed Alawi Amzarbeh, the Chairman of APDC, accompanied with His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy. Chairman has taken the visitors to general sight visit to the terminal facilities where he has briefed the visitors on the terminal current activities and its future development plans, Chairman has briefed the official delegations on the positive role that was played by container terminal during the civil war and beyond this critical period that was in receiving the humanitarian aids, the urgent spare parts and generators of the Public Electricity corporation, however the Port of Aden has got the honor to be the first corporation in Aden that has resumed its normal commercial business immediate to the city liberation in July 2015, and being the only main gateway to support and relief the needy Yemeni people in all Governorates.

In turn, His Excellency Prime Minister has praised the port of Aden employees at all sectors and sections for their contribution, and he has appreciated the great strategic and economic importance position of the Port of Aden, as vital facility of the Republic of Yemen.

His Excellency has confirmed the government support towards stability and continuity of the port's activities, the source and of the imported cargoes and shipments flows to the Yemeni markets and to the needy people in the Republic.
